WW1 Memorial Plaque with Sleeve and Letter, Welsh
Very nice memorial plaque to a British soldier killed during WW1, this one is still contained in its cream paper sleeve and the condolance message with its original brown cardboard outer sleeve. Condition of the ''death penny'' as expected being in its packaging is perfect as are the other items.
The name according to the CWGC has four casualties, one being a Cardiff born man who died in 1918, a member of the Welsh Regiment, i belive that this must be the man named on the penny as this item came from a house clearence last week in the Cardiff area. This item has never been in a collection before.
