British Lee Metford Bayonet and 1882 Pattern Frog.

Just picked up this super example of the Metford baynet, the condition is above very good. The wooden handle has only one bruise and knock, it has a very crisp Victorian crown over a number and the letter ''w''. The blade is one of the cleanest ive had, no sharpening or sanding, cross grain to the tang area. Wilkinson makers mark with a Victorian crown over ''VR'' stamping to one side and broad arrow marked to the other side. Pommel has the number 742 stamped into it. The scabbard again in great condition, no rot or weakening, there are various sharp stampings into the body of the scabbard, EFD, O1 and two Vicky crowns. The bottom chape again with no issues. Lastly this is housed in a Pattern 1882 leather frog thats maker marked to the back, these frogs were used with the 1903 pattern equipment. A very nice example indeed.
