WW1 British Officers Trench Boots.

These have survived in very nice condition with only one leather strap missing . The leather bottoms are in very supple condition with hob nailed leather soles, there are no cracks to the soles, both cross over leather straps are present and in very nice condition. No size markings but they measure 12 inches from heel to toe. The canvas uppers are again in sound condition without any tears or scuffs. The canvas is quite supple with only minor hardening to the centre but there are no cracks or holes to the creases, the left boot has lost its top leather strap. The inside cloth pulls are present and both have a 4 digit service number to the inside. I have managed to find a period photo of a British officer wearing such an example in France , check the last photo please.
