Victorian 1st East York Volunteer Artillery Light
In very nice condition with crisp etching to both sides of the blade, retailed by the London firm of Hobson and Sons. The shark skin bound grip has no damage, same with the Hilt. Still attatched is the period leather knot with bullion acorn. As mentioned the blade has crisp etching to both sides with a Victorian coat of arms. There is minor staining to a very small percentage of the blade with one lift of finish just below one scroll which i have photographed. I have not cleaned or touched the blade. The scabbard again in tip top condition with no issues.
Just to add, there appears to be scrolled initials to the bottom of the blade which i cannot decipher, i pressume this is the officers name, so reaserch might well be possible.
