1916 Official Map, Battle of the Somme.

Still held in its original paper sleeve, this paper map has survived in nice condition considering its nearly 100 years old. The paper sleeve has some damage but the map is in complete condition, as expected the fold middles have some tears. The map is dated 1916 and shows the front line ending on November 30, it appears to have been printed by the General Staff War Office.
Its my opinion that these maps were used to train the many new Officers being rushed thru training for the next bloody phase of the Somme battle.
