WW2 British Female Side Cap, American Ambulance G

A very rare find is this very nice condition female side cap to a member of the AAGB, this organisation was put together by American civilians who were resident in the UK, there donations provided a number of ambulances for use on the Homefront. The staff were usually ''Fanny'' and ATS recruits. The cap is in very nice condition, body and red edging has no damage, the inside lining is again in very nice condition. The front has one ''football'' type button, one is missing. The bronze cap badge is sewn down to the cap itself, this is period done as seen by the cotton used, reason for this is that one fixing prong has gone. There were only around 400 members of this unit so this example could be classed as a very scarce survivor.
