WW1 Durham Light Infantry Brodie Helmet Shell.

Relic? Well its had a hard life and has seen some action but the outside shell has a good amount of its original rough finish intact, lets say 70%, the inside has lost its finish to the crown but most has survived around the rim. The front stencilled DLI badge is very clear with slight damage to the crown area, appears this area has had a slight wipe with a damp cloth to clear away some of the build up of verdigri on top of the stencil. This is a late war pattern brodie with added rim.
This was recently found by a freind in a North German flee market on the Dutch border, souvenired by a German veteran? Who knows, still nice to find a Regimentally marked Brodie.
The money shots folks are numbers 8 and 9 in the photo section.
