British First Pattern ''Pulp'' Dispatch Riders Cra

In very nice condition with most of its original green finish intact to its outer body, minimal surface scratching only. The leather neck flap is again in very nice supple condition with no damage just some slight scuffing were the leather meets the bottom of the helmet, both ear poppers are working and the snaps are marked ''Newey''. The inside is very clean with the leather sweat band in supple condition, band has a factory paper label with a clear 1940 date but i cannot make out the factory, underneath is a clear WD mark. These ''pulp'' helmets were introduced in 1939, this example is the very first pattern without added protection for the liner fixing string as expected with a 1940 date.
