Imperial German 1871 Named Triple Etched Walking Out Bayonet. WKC.
A good condition walking out/dress bayonet by the firm WKC with tree panel etch. Both sides of the blade are etched with various military motif such as helmets, swords , flags etc and the top spine is also etched including a name that appears to be JEAN GRISAR CORLENT, the last name is a bit faded so might well be diffrent. The tang has an early WKC trade mark with both the King and Knights head. Blade condition is would rate as very good with no pitting just some staining, etch still has detail. The brass hilt is in nice condition still having its false side spring, the ''S'' shape crossguard at some point has recived a knock resulting in the top section having a kink. The leather scabbard has a supple leather body with tight stitching, both brass mounts have a couple of knocks, they both fit tightly to the leather.
