WW2 German Stag Handle Private Purchase ''Walking Out'' Bayonet, Horstator Maker.
In very nice condition with no damage to the stag slab grips, some minor loss of finish to the pommel area, back and top button. The blade has a nice finish with again minimal loss of finsh to the plating mainly just under the crossguard! Very nice and clear makers stamp to the top of the blade. The steel scabbard has a nice amount of its black factory finish but has some loss wich has not turn a nice dark colour from patina. The leather frog appears to be its original example, its complete but im sorry to say both top rivets have come adrift so the top hanging area flops back on itself.
I belive this is an early produced example as the trade name Horstator was an early form used by the firm E&F Horster.
