WW1 Leather Jerkin, 1917.
A well used jerkin made from five diffrent pieces of leather for the body and three separate pieces for rienforcment to the front button clouser area and neck. The whole jerkin has seen considerable usuage and a good repair to the bottom front right, sorry to say that all but one of the original buttons are missing. The only markings to be found can be seen stamped to the inside bottom right under the repair, i can make out the Numbers 191....... but i have a hard time trying to make out the last number, when i first purchased im sure it was 1915 but when taking pictures for the update im sure it was 1917! Anyway its an appealing example and would look just right for a trench display and it does remind me of the type used by Commonwealth forces.
