Would appear this soldier went into Belgium then France and then Russia were he was KIA on the 20/12/41 after having fought through some major actions including Partisan and Russian Cavalry divisions near Smolensk. He was awarded the Winter War Medal. The white cover is glued on, underneath the front and back cover are in perfect condition.
