Soldbuch, Medical Sereant, Army Field Ambulance Unit. Red Cross Armband Cert and Misc Documents.
A heavily used but complete Soldbuch to Sanitas-Feldwebel Josef Besselmann who served through Russia in an Ambulance Field unit, Krankenkraftwagen-Zug 778. If you look at the battle list of his unit, found inside the book, his unit fought as part of the 1st Panzer Army in Southern Russia and did service in many of the well known actions. As mentioned the Soldbuch is well used with spine repair, the front photo is a large details shot of Josef in his walking out jacket, its no surprise he was issued a p38 for personal protection. Found inside the book .....
His permit to wear the Red Cross Armband
Soap ration card,
Discharge regulations,
1945 dated tag for kidney problems from a doctor,
1945 Army conduct report signed by the commander ,stating that Josef had endured tough times whilst leading his ambulance unit since 1942.
He served since 1938, being wounded by shrapnel in 1941. He was entitled to the Black Wound badge and both classes of the War Merit Cross, 2nd and 1st class.
Nice set to a NCO who say lots of action on the Russian Front.
