In well used condition with one rip to the top left corner and a couple of small fraying areas. The size is 70x37 inches. I was'st sure on the date, WW1 too WW2 but having recently viewed the VE day celebration footage recently aired i spotted the exact type being flown out of one of the house windows so i can say without doubt its at least WW2 period.
