Boxed War Merit Cross with Swords. Deschler and Sohn.

A very nice example with the cross having good finish with a certain amount of patina. The rear has its period hardware and has a clear number stamp ''1'' for the firm Deschler. The box is nice with good finish and a clear WMC representation to the front. The steel hinge to the back has come adrift from one side but the cloth hinge to the inside has prevented the lid coming adrift.
