1945 Dated 8th Indian Division Battle Dress Blouse.

This is a 1945 dated Indian made BD Blouse with a clear 45 dated stamp to the inside. The nap to the material is very nice with only one moth nip found on the front pocket. One button missing to a bottom cuff.The back shows ''tailoring'' with bottom pleats and a rear stitch line going down the back where the jacket was taken in. The inside rough lining is very clean and has two clear Indian stamps to one side, just some minor staining to the collar area. The two 8th Indian Division formation patches are hand sewn and do appear to be period applied as this blouse was lightly used going by the condition and i would presume its the type used as ''best'' for a soldier on his way home after the end of hostilities. Would be difficult to upgrade the condition on this example.
