1938 Dated K98 Bayonet. Rich.A.Herder.

A very nice clean example with the Herder stamped blade having nearly all its finish, spine has a clear 38 stamp, other side has a clear code stamp. The pommel , cross guard and top flash guard again with nearly 100% of its factory finish. Fixing button works and there are two clear Waffenampt stamps to the pommel, also a very clear one to the front of the cross guard. Both wooden grips are in fine clean condition. The metal scabbard has close to 100% of its factory finish and is marked and dated 1940/Horster, tip again Waffenampt stamped.
The pommel end has a four digit number stamp, 5940, sorry to say i didn't spot this when taking the photos. This is not an export model, it has full makers details including the acceptance stamps and i have never myself come across a K98 with end pommel numbers before.
