M42 Single Decal Combat Helmet. NS64.

Shell has close to 95% of its period factory rough finish including the liner pins. The decal rates at close to 85% remaining with wear to the black background from not having lacquer applied at the factory. The makers side stamp and rear Lot number are a weak strike, i can make out the first letter ''N'' and last number ''4'' so its a NS64, this can be confirmed by the use of a Huber Jordan & Koerner decal found on NS produced helmets. The inside liner is the helmets period example, complete and supple, but at some point this has been treated by a over exuberant collector.
