Homefront Steel Helmet. English Electric. 1940.

A very nice factory steel helmet used by a worker at the English Electric company. The helmet left the factory with a grey finish then having had a black coat to the top, i would say that at least 75% of this finish remains with a good amount of general wear from use all over the outside shell. We are luck that the hand painted letters to the front have survived with 100% finish. The well used, supple and complete liner is dated 1940. Chinstrap is supple with just a minimal amount of black to one side from laying against the liner for years.
