U.S. Airborne M1 Steel Helmet.

A nice Mock Up of an American WW2 Airborne M1 with the outside of the shell having a nice cork finish and both side having sprayed ''spades''. The outside is finished with a full net and an Airborne first aid Dressing fastened to the front. The liner appears to be an original example but what country produced it i have no idea. The webbing is dark green with a very dark leather sweat band and leather chin cup. I can see that the liner was produced without side pegs for a liner chinstrap and from insignia grommet! The chinstrap is a postwar example. Displays very well and much cheaper than the 2 grand for an original period example!
