WW1 German M17 Steel Combat Helmet.

The ET66 stamped shell is in solid condition with close to 90% of its period factory finish remaining, you will find the usual overall scrapes and wear marks all over the shell from use,these have toned down with a dark patina from age. The inside finish over 95% complete with a clear ET66 stamp to one side near the chinstrap post. The three liner pads are present with pads , all three have had the tongues removed , one pad has half its leather missing. The liner frame has never been out of the helmet, liner pins are tight and all three pads are period to the helmet. At some point both chinstrap posts where covered with tape as seen in the pictures, no reason for this but who knows what happened over the past 100 years. The chinstrap is a reproduction, this is how i found the example i have decided to sell ''as is''. Nice displayable lid thats in very good condition.
