Boxed Unissued Civilian Duty Respirator.

Last one from a number, if i remember 12, i managed to purchase years back after a local Police station in Cardiff was being renovated. All where sealed taped as this one was until taking the photos you find below. The mask as expected is in unissued condition and is dated May 1939. Also found inside the box is its unissued carry bag and anti-dimming outfit. Now here is an interesting quandary with the bag being dated 1942, dimming outfit dated 41 and the top of the box stating packed in 1939? So my only conclusion is that at some point during the War the box was inspected and restocked!
