British WW1 Trench Gas Rattle.

In very good condition with the metal taking on an overall dark patina and pitting. the wood has survived intact with only a split the central plank. The rattle works when used and is in solid condition. I cannot find any markings but these types are usually dated 1918 as its the last pattern produced having to use the metal as the previous patterns were found to warp in trench conditions.
