WW1 Air Ministry Marked Binoculars and Case.

Binoculars are a french set made by the firm L.Petit of Paris and by all appearances look like the type purchased and used by the British Forces from French stocks and used during WW1. What makes these more interesting is the Air Ministry mark so might well have been issued during WW1 as the ''AM'' stamps appear from 1918. As for condition then its very good with no damage to the body and tight stitching to the leather. They have clear optics and focus is sharp. The period leather case has the same type of ''fletched'' arrow running through the broad arrow stamp as the binoculars have but im sorry to say the case has lost it top but still has its period hanging strap. An interesting pair of early air force used binoculars.
