War Period Register of Military Casualties Admitted to Hospital , 1940-45. South Wales.
Three volumes of casualties admitted to South Wales Hospitals during the period of 1940 till 1945. The books start in 1940 with the evacuation of patience from London, total of 576 . The records consist of Hospital number, name and address of the patient including Regiment, age, sex, date admitted, from which Hospital Received, civilian or service and lastly the transfer, discharge or death of the patient. All British regiments are covered in these pages including Poles, Czechs, French etc and a couple of American paratroopers. Ive even found Axis POW's included that where held in local POW camps. These are mainly service men but the last book seems to be all officers of various ranks. Plenty of research potential is possible i'm sure if you know what to look for, ive been through them on a number of occasions and i'm always finding items of interest.
