1941 Dated British Net and Burlap Camo Home Guard MKII Steel Helmet.

A lovely example with the shell having nearly 100% rough finish to the outer shell under the net. The net has been on this example for many years and has that flat appearance and wear especially underneath where the net goes under the rim. The burlap also appears to have been period added. The inner shell again with 100% of its factory finish with a clear 1941 and BMB makers stamp. The liner system is complete and in very nice condition, its dated 1940. At some point, and its such a pity, the top pad has deteriorated coming off the top screw and sliding to the side, perhaps heat damage of sorts. Ive left it as is but its an easy repair IMO! This helmet came from an advance Homefront collection that was broken up locally a few years back. I was lucky to purchase some of his helmets and uniforms, item 56813, the mint denim BD being one.
