Factory Denazified War Merit Cross with Swords, First Class. 57 Pattern.

Very nice cross with a good amount of its inner frosting and burnished highlights. The rear has its period hardware. The central swastika has been factory removed leaving a nice cross hatched pattern turning the medal into a 57 pattern. When i purchased someone had glued the swastika from a DAF stickpin badge to the front section trying to deceive and unsuspecting collector, i removed but some remnants of glue remain, this area needs a clean to show all the cross hatched pattern.
