Large Photo.1905, 2nd Battalion South Wales Borderers. Tsingtau Expedition Link.

Nice detailed photo of the 2nd Bat, SWB, cross country winners. All the soldiers are named and from my little research ive found two who served in China in 1914 when the Battalion fought taking a German port. Named is Corpl Payne, there is a sergeant Paye who was killed during the action and Pte Meredith who was wounded in China. Time frame and rank would suggest it is the fellows in the photo. Not found anything on the others but im no researcher folks! Anyway its a supper photo showing the fashion of the times, small mustaches, stiff necks and some great hairdo's.
