WW1 German M15 Prussian Artillery Pickelhaube, Kugelhelm.

This is a 1912 dated Pickelhaube that has been total refurbished at depot level to fit in with the 1915 regulations to fit all helmets with new grey fittings. There is a clear 1912 date to the back peak with a clear regimental stamp JR65. The shell is dent free with a nice flat finish, the only crazing i can find is a small area to the front peak. All stitching is tight. The grey front Prussian eagle is complete and has close to 100% finish, underneath you will see an interaction between the shell and plate. The top roundal and plate again with the majority of its grey finish as has the back spine. The chinstrap and cockade are replacements. The inside liner is supple and complete with what looks like its period leather tie. The inside dome has the faintest of makers stamp remaining. Without the replacement of the chinstrap and cockades i would have classed this example as untouched, still it displays well and would be even better with the period items searched for and added.
