WW2 Hungarian Field Police Gorget. Tabori Bizronsag.

As with a lot of these aluminium made gorgets this one is well used, suffering from minor pest but no weak metal or holes, its solid. The front design with flag and crown has sharp detail and survived without any knocks. The bottom scroll has lets say close to 80% of its period finish with a good knock where the paint has gone, all fixing pins are tight. The rear has plenty of dirt and patina with a clear stamped number to the center. All three fixing bars are solid as are the domed rivets. A well used but complete example with plenty of patina and if careful a little soapy warm water would bring back some finish without destroying the patina. These gorgets where used a lot from 1944 when the Hungarian field police worked with the German gendarmerie as the Axis forces where falling back from the Russian advance.
