WW1 Boxed Iron Cross First Class.
The two piece frame is tight and appears to be made from copper or brass with silver plate , again the central core is copper or brass with close to 100% of its period finish. The rear has its period hinge and pin with the bottom catch having been period repaired by a jeweler, body is slightly vaulted. The box again in very nice condition, close to mint in my opinion with super finish, 100% clear top facsimile of a cross to the front and a working front button. Inside has a clean top cloth and the purple bottom felt has little wear. I think this might well be a 1920's Deumer made example.
