German Heer First Pattern Tropenhelm. 1941. KM Production.

This example going by the construction is a KM produced helmet made by the firm ''ORL'' in 1941. Lets say its had a bad time to say the least with the top being crushed, poor storage in the soldiers kitbag on the way home to the UK or just a mistake when someone sat down! Anyway its a first pattern , has most of its leather edging and a complete inside liner system, chinstrap mainly gone. Both side insignia are period original mismatched pair. Can you repair? cant see why not , some padding inside would give you a displayable piece at least!
