SS Steel Buckle, Veteran Used, Attic Find.

This was brought to my table last week by a couple who found it during a roof renovation they where doing in the Chepstow area. The steel buckle has good detail and just a faint amount of its period finish. At one point the veteran who was wearing it with a small WW1 belt, repaired the catch, fits the belt end perfectly. I cannot find and makers details. As for the belt its seen a lot of moth damage to the back felt and crazing to the leather. Nice to find an SS buckle example used postwar by the veteran to keep his trousers up!
P.S. The leather keep strap on the belt is fragile!!
