British Pewter Military Water Canteen.

Produced in pewter including the side bars for taking the carry strap. Its had a few knocks and is slightly misshaped but still retains its kidney shape. The top screw lid works perfectly. No date or makers stamps. As for pattern, well i cannot find it anywhere, a local friend and long time collector informed me that over the years he has seen a number of these examples turn up in the Brecon area where this was found, might well have been produced for the local town garrison?
