SA Dagger, Carl Schmidt Sohn.

Early pattern example by the firm Carl Schmidt. The blade has a certain amount of staining, old grease and runner marks, some of the factory grain can be seen. The makers details are sharp as is the central motto and its my opinion the tip has been reshaped at some point. The hilt has a certain amount of patina and verdigris, top nut has been moved at least once, eagle and SA roundel are in fine undamaged condition. The wooden handle is very clean with use, one tiny chip to the surface at the back just under the top mount and one scrape along the surface , again the the back and nothing of a surprise from a worn example. This example is marked along the bottom mount to the group ''NS''. The early anodized scabbard has close to 90% of its finish but mixed in with some surface rust and spotting, metal mounts appear never to have been messed with and the bottom ball has one minor knock. So a used example in close to untouched condition other than the tip and one that would come up even better with some minor soft cleaning, i have left it ''as is'' with the patina, verdigris and old grease. MMMMMM just the way i like them!
