P1876 Martini Henry Socket Bayonet.

A very nice untouched example with the WD marked blade having nearly 100% of its period finish, only staining i can find is the the very tip, nothing strange with a socket having lived in its scabbard for all those years. There are clear stamps to the top flat section of the blade and one acceptance stamp along the side . The hilt has again close to all its dark factory finish, fixing bracket swivels freely. The leather scabbard is supple with tight stitching other than one two inch section, hard to see and ive only just found it . Both brass mounts are solid to the leather with one minor knock to the bottom chape.
