WW1 1st Monmouth/SWB Paybook and Active Service Postcards.

New to the market is this group of postcards sent home from Europe during WW1 and the soldiers pay book. Private W.H.Williams, No17768's book as usual with WW1 examples contains limited info but its clear the soldier was 38 when he joined in 1914 having served previously with the 4th Battalion Gloucester's from 1893. Info also found that he was transferred to the RWF in 1915 and transferred back to the SWB later, info found written in pencil on the front page. The 21 censored active service postcards date from 1915 and are mostly sent to an address in Canton Cardiff , most likely a sweetheart of Williams during the time. Condition of all items are very good.
