USAF Survival Knife, Ontario. McCarthy, 7th Armoured, MP, Operation Granby. Desert Storm

Purchased last week with some Iraqi items brought back by a veteran of Operation Gramby, this knife was found when going through his kitbag. When i asked McCarthy about the knife he stated that a Yank wanted a British bayonet as a souvenir and he was willing to swap his Survival knife, the trade took place. The item is in nice combat used condition with the blade having a very nice amount of its parkerized finish, cutting edge has had a light sharpening as expected for a combat used example. Cross guard has most of its finish as does the Ontarion 6-89 stamped pommel. The leather stacked grip is tight without shrinkage. The leather scabbard is supple with the sharpening stone still held in its pocket, McCarthy signed his name in marker to one side. Great First Gulf War souvenir!
