South Wales Borderers. Kings Death Scroll, Italian Bravery Medal Cert and Named Christmas Box. 2/Lt Brown. Worcestershire Regiment.

Purchased from the family last week when found going through a deceased family house in the Cardiff area. Not in the best of conditions but totally untouched. Found in a cardboard tube was Browns Death Scroll and Buckingham palace notice named with full details. Also found was a large parchment type cert issued by the Italian army serving notice of the award of the Italian bronze medal for bravery with War Office notice. Lastly we have a well used Christmas box with Browns name scratched to the back with the rank of sergeant in the South Wales Borderers. A totally untouched group to a local member of the SWB who rose through the ranks to Officer in the Worcestershire Regiment and was unfortunately killed doing his service to King and Country.
