Ground Rohm Dagger. Epack.

Dagger is in good condition with the blade having two ''nicks'' to one side, staining and a nice clear motto with a good amount of dark finish to the letters. The E.P.&S motto is clear enough with just minor rub! The opinions of a couple of dagger ''heads'' on the Forum, Wehrmacht-Awards.com, suggest the blade once had a Rohm inscription having been ground clean ''at home''. Plenty of evidence of file marks running up the length of the blade on that particular side. The cross guards, top and bottom, are in nice condition with just minimal staining, ive not tried to clean and one side having the letters ''No''. Top fixing button appears unmolested, if its been apart then it was carefully done. Wooden handle has a couple of hairline cracks to the surface without chipping and one stain to the bottom front, color in nice and bright. Both emblems are period to the piece. Now for the ''rub''! The scabbard has had a really noticeable postwar coat of black paint to the body with the bottom fitting taken off as both screws show evidence of tampering, top seems fine. Bottom ball has the usual dent found on many period examples. According to members of the forum where i posted this dagger for opinions state that the scabbard is not an Epack example but i may add the fit is very tight. So not the best and certainly not the worse SA dagger ive had for sale , it has certain issues that i have made clear and of course its a ground Rohm.
