SWB Officers Medal Group. Major D.L.Smith

As mounted for wear by a Major Smith who served during WW2 in the SWB. The WW2 examples have been name stamped and the remaining medals have all been renamed by the same jeweller to Major Smith. I purchased this group and some insignia from the daughter last week. Im sorry to say that i did not spot the renaming, so this group is now going for a little less than the sum of said parts. From the patina and rubbing this group has been together for years and worn my Major Smith during his time in the local TA. As a postscript, yesterday i was talking to a SWB veteran i met out of the blue who served 25 years in the battalion serving with Major Smith who according to him was a well respected officer and leader.
