2nd Pattern F-S Commando Knife.

Used example with the blade having seen much use now slightly stained with double edge hand ground to the tang with small tang grind ''V'' showing at the cross guard. Its my opinion the blade has been sharpened over the years, no clumsy sharpening marks to be found on either side. Cross guard is oval and flat without markings. The brass knurled grip has sharp detail, if this was a blackened version its all gone except for a small area at the bottom near the cross guard. Top fixing button is the screw down type onto the tang, tang does not fit to the very top of this button but is visible inside. The leather scabbard has tight stitching and is in supple condition. Top of the handle has a brass grommet perhaps for a hanging chain. Nice used and obvious period second pattern example.
