Nowill & Sons Bowie Knife. Welsh Guards.

As used by guardsman Philip Rowden during his service with the ''WG's'' from 1973 to 79. Rowden mentioned that he kept the dagger hid behind his ammo pouches whilst using 58 pattern webbing due to regulations on wearing knives. He also mentioned the larger gap he made to the back of the scabbard to fit over his 58 pattern belt. As for condition its not too bad having been sharpened a number of times, Nowill trade mark is still visible and the back of the blade Rowden has scratch his name. Nothing special but interesting to find a civilian knife used by British armed forces with provenance.
