WW1 Welch Regiment Helmet Shell.
In relic condition with close to 50% of its period rough finish intact. To the front is a period hand painted Welch Regiment insignia in a large shield. Id say its close to 40% complete. The shell has no dents and is in solid condition. The inside has lost its liner , clear makers details can be found to the front inner skirt, MLS 35. This example might well be a ground dug item or badly stored for over 100 years in damp conditions. Recently found in the South Wales area.
