M42 Helmet Shell, ckl 66.
This WW2 manufactured steel helmet was used postwar by the fire brigade having the shell painted black and a new liner system added. The large sized 66 shell is in very nice solid condition with the only pitting i can see just around one vent above the reproduction swastika decal, no dents or cracks and clear stamps to the rear. There does appear to be a green finish under the black, i have not tried to remove any of the black to see whats underneath. So a very good solid and large sized shell ready for some work if wishing to use as a project. May i also add the pins appear to be WW2 examples and all three have the washers.
