Early Hitler Youth Dagger With Motto. Gottlieb Hammesfahr.

Blade is complete with minimal sharpening and staining, makers stamp is very clear with the Blut und Ehre Motto having faded but still visible. Blade leather washer is missing. The handle has no cracks or chips with the central membership badge moving slightly in the grip which i do like to see. At some point the handle has had three stones professionally added, one is missing leaving to view the drilled area where the stones where added. Pommel and cross guard has most of its plating present, missing as usual to the side where the closer strap rubs. The steel scabbard has around 75% of its period finish, top leather hanger and a repaired working top snap strap. As for the addition/personalization, its my opinion its wartime done, im sure that any postwar work would have some sort of denazification to the diamond. But thats only my opinion folks!
