Early Military Sirupate Kukri.

The blade has minimal staining with just a couple of tiny rust bleed visible and what i would class as its period grind to the cutting edge. The blade length is just over 14.5 inches, widest width 2 and three quarter inches with the narrowest blade width of 1.5 inches. Width of the spine at the base is around 9mm. Its a monster blade for sure. The wooden handle has over the years received a number of repairs but is complete with the steel butt plate being replaced with a brass example. The period sheath is complete with tight stitching, only the top of one side with a split to the seam. At some point a brass hanger has been added for suspension from a belt , the two holes to the front would suggest a removed badge of sorts. Although this example has been through the wars over its life its still a very nice early example of a large military Nepalese Sirupate and im sure worthy of adding to a collection. This was recently found during a clearance in the Cardiff area with the Dragoon Guards 07 bayonet ive listed.
