Gustav Brehmer produced steel buckle with close to 100% of its period green factory finish except for the highlights as expected for an example thats been worn in the field. Just under the back fixing prongs and bar is a clear stamp ''GB'' above a ''40'' date. Its my opinion t with a little search on the internet these 40 dated GB buckles are usually found to have been worn by DAK troops in North Africa.
