British Warden Helmet, 1939 Dated.

First issued as an early army example then reissued as a home front Wardens helmet. The black finish rates at over 80% complete with a few areas of rust bleed. The white ''W'' has been sprayed through a stencil, an earlier ''W'' can be seen under the black finish. The first pattern liner is in nice supple condition with clear makers details and a 1939 date. The early army finish can be seen to the crown area. Chinstrap is in supple and complete condition. A faint 39 date can be found under one chinstrap side bale.
