U.S. Military M1938 Lensmatic Compass and Leather Case.

A good used unmarked example with a very nice amount of its green finish to the aluminium body. The inside dial does move but i would not use it for directional purposes thats for sure, some of the period inner liquid remains but has turned a brown color. These prewar and early WW2 compasses where not given out to everyone, junior leaders and NCO's only. The designation M1938 apparently a misnomer , M1918 I believe being the correct one . This example does come with a WW1 pattern leather compass case thats in very nice condition.
